CDA CHAIRMAN EMMANUEL M. SANTIAGUEL, ADMINISTRATOR NELON B. ALINDOGAN AFFIRM PARTNERSHIP, WISHES SUCCESS OF ATINGKOOP PARTYLIST SPECIAL NATIONAL CONVENTION





Top officials of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), led by Chairman Emmanuel M. Santiaguel, Ph.D., and Administrator Nelon B. Alindogan, have affirmed CDA's partnership with ATING KOOP Partylist, even as they extended "best wishes for the success of ATING KOOP Partylist's Special National Convention."

ATING KOOP conducted its Special National Convention last Jan. 21, 2012 at Max's Baclaran, Paranaque City with some 134 delegates attending, representing member-delegates from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, to "attend to pressing matters that need the action of its general membership."

"CDA has always been a partner of the ATING KOOP Partylist in its embodiment of the cooperative principles and its advocacy to strengthen and empower the cooperative movement nationwide,"  said CDA Chairman Santiaguel in a published message to the Special National Convention.

For his part, Administrator Alindogan said," it gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest greeting and best wishes for the success of ATING KOOP Partylist Special National Convention."

Administrator Alindogan was among the guests of honor  during the Special National Convention, who addressed the officers and national delegates of the cooperative partylist.

Dr. Santiaguel also extended his "greetings to the ATING KOOP Partylist for holding its Special National Convention," in his published message.

"Keep on!  CDA will always be a helping hand, a friend and a partner in need and in deed.  We are confident that your pro-active style of leadership, ATING KOOP Partylist will be much stronger, bigger and more dynamic,"  Chairman Santiaguel said.

He added that the "Cooperative Development Authority and its present management has always been a firm advocate of advancing the cooperative movement nationwide through exemplifying the agency's deep commitment, dedication, and internalization of its mission  and vision to carry on its mandate, and in so doing, encouraging the sector  to epitomize the highest form of ethical standard of Good Governance."

On the other hand, Administrator Alindogan said," We, in the Cooperative Development Authority commend you for your commitment and dedication to the advancement of your members as well as the other cooperatives through the various programs and initiatives that you have undertaken and will undertake in the coming years."

He also expressed confidence that through the convention, ATING KOOP "will be able to develop programs to promote  cooperative excellence.  I hope issues and concerns relating to this and the enhancement of your capabilities to deliver services to your members will be successfully addressed during this gathering,"  Administrator Alindogan emphasized.

"In the days ahead, I believe that ATING KOOP will make a difference in highlighting the essence of cooperatives in uplifting the members in particular as well as the country in general," he added.

Meanwhile, on the day of the ATING KOOP Special National Convention, a paid advertisement was published by a certain RAFAEL A. PUENTESPINA, representing  himself as President of ATING KOOP Partylist.  The advertisement came out on page B-5 of the Philippine Star, Jan. 21, 2012 issue.

It says:  "Notice is hereby given to all members of ATING KOOP Party List and all concerned, that the Special National Convention called by a certain AMPARO RIMAS, representing hereself as President of the ATING KOOP Party list on January 21, 2012 at Max's Restaurant in Baclaran, Paranaque, or in any other place, is UNAUTHORIZED and NOT SANCTIONED BY THE DULY ELECTED CENTRAL COMMITTEE.  Ms. Rimas and those in her group, ARE NOT LEGITIMATE MEMBERS OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE.  (END).
